MY FINAL PROJECT

My project will concern traditional products of our country.

At the begging  I will try to find 3 or 4 colleagues from different countries, each of whom will present its traditional products. It combines environmental education with the aid of technology. The stimulus will be given by a discussion about their breakfast, as they usually eat manufacturing products (fast food) and they don’t eat healthy traditional food.

Age of students 9-10 years old
Subjects involved  : environmental education, language, art

The aims of the project
·         Students will know the agricultural products of each country
·         It will give the opportunity to students to know that agricultural products   depend   on   the climate of   each country.
·         They will get to know traditional professions concerning to the cultivation of  these products
·         Learn to communicate, collaborate,  respect and exchange opinions with   other peers
·         Learn the evaluation of these products in their daily balanced diet
·         Create digital projects, like a crossword , a painting, an e-book
·         Develop writing skills to write recipes

Work process of the project
The subject I have selected to deal with is part of the curriculum. It incorporates in environmental education .We will work in teams of 4 students, using the method of project and collaboration.
·         At the beginning schools and students will introduce themselves with videos
·          Then each partner will look for information of his own country’s traditional products and create a power point. Find recipes about them.
·         Teachers will communicate once a week exchanging ideas about the continuity of the project with skype
·         Students and teachers will communicate via platform of twinspace once a week, presenting their work
·         Each country will look for information about its own agricultural products and present them in a padlet
·         We will visit places such as a bakery to learn how the small ring- shaped biscuit is produced (the traditional product of my town) , a factory which produces tomatoes pins and so do other participants to their countries
·         We will invite parents or external experts such as a chef or nutritionist to inform and cook with us, traditional dishes such as a cheese pie, or a potato pie and so on
·         We can also exchange a card for Christmas or Easter. One school will create and the others will continue to add their own wishes, so it will travel by post to other colleagues.
·         At the end we will exchange products with other schools by post and create an e-book with recipes

·         We will present the project to all the students of our school or publishing it at the blog of our school, spreading it widely

Expected results
·         Students will eat these products in their daily diet
·         To know that agricultural products depend on the climate
·         Widely spread in school community by school’s blog
·         Students get to know the value of traditional food, which we have forgotten
·         The evaluation will be conducted with a padlet, a google forms (answer some questions) so as to get feedback.
·         Moreover, we can use a thinkling to express our wishes about the summer as the project will reach at the end
·         Create an e-book with the recipes we gathered

Tools which will be used
·         Thinkling, a very interesting and amusing
·         Padlet expressing opinions
·         Polling tools

The activity which is part of my project

My project is about traditional food.
One of the aims that my project is about to develop is writting skills.
During our project we decided to exchange some recipies, in order to know recipies from other countries, about using traditional products and trying to cook one of them.
We will gather them to the platform of etwinning space and then create an e-book with issuu.
Moreover, I would use the tool of answergarden, so as collaboratevily to express their opinion about a question such as what products of your country do they  know. It corresponds to the aim of getting to know the products of each country
Another useful tool that I would use is colorillo, a painting programme, so as to draw simultaneously. It is entertaining and also amusing. My students are really thrilled. Another is thinglink, where we can write to a board together.

The disadvantages are the following
To improve my students language skills it's better to engage them in more online meetings.
A more detailed description of the evaluation.
